What is APKSpring?

APKSpring is an independently maintained Android app directory that provides app information, version history, and APK downloads where distribution is permitted. Our goal is to make app information easier to understand by providing useful technical details alongside each listing.

APKSpring is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Google Play, Android, or the developers and publishers of the apps listed on this website unless explicitly stated.

App Information

We extract technical information directly from APK files rather than relying only on manually entered data. Depending on the application, an app page may include its package name, version, file size, declared permissions, minimum supported Android version, application name, and icon.

Where available, app information may also be cross-checked against the application's public Google Play listing or other relevant public sources.

APK Signature Verification

Before an APK is published, we check its signing certificate. For applications that have an established signing history, the certificate from the first approved version is used as a reference for subsequent versions.

If a later version is signed with a different certificate, it is not automatically published and may be held for manual review. This helps us detect unexpected changes in the signing identity of an application.

The "Signature verified" label indicates that the APK's signing certificate matches the expected certificate for that application. It does not, by itself, mean that an application is malware-free, safe for every device, or authorized for redistribution.

APK Distribution

Where APKSpring hosts an APK directly, we aim to preserve the original package without modifying its application contents.

We do not treat an APK's signature as proof that we have permission to redistribute it. Where we do not have appropriate rights to host a file, we may instead provide a link to the application's official distribution source, such as its Google Play listing.

Popular Apps

The Popular section on APKSpring is based on actual download activity on the website. Listings are not manually purchased or promoted simply to increase their position in the Popular rankings.
